      That's another thing about screenwriting. The script, even after "sold" to a producer, will likely change. Screenwriters have to take notes ... up until the time scenes are actually shot. At least, that's my understanding. :)

    I totally agree about the 60s movie being corny - they tried to make it into a comedy instead of a Female 007 & after that the moment was lost & we lost a big screen heroine. When i picked up the first Modesty book i was a young lad & was amazed at this ruthless lady, anaesthetic nose plugs for the guard she's just kicked ? Crazy , but amazing. Keep up the great work Debbi.

    Well now with AI, everyone will be able to be a screenwriter. Generative tools will spit out all you need with minimal creative input. Sadly, these scripts will be 85% AI and 15% human input...but that is where we are headed. In a way, we overshot the goal as a species. Went a little too far...😆

    • @DebbiMack

      Between the copyright issues with AI-generated content and the various unions, I have a feeling all is not lost. Not yet. Yes, there will be crappy movies and books generated from AI. But in the end, people want actual entertainment. The kind that only comes from a creative human being. My concern is that AI could advance to a point so far beyond current capabilities, we can't control it. Think of Frankenstein. Yeah, there was a lesson there. :)

    I earned a honest living, what does that mean in America because all I know is a living. Because honest is over rated in the country, or the people is stupid, or really mentally disturbed to believe that they walk every day in the honest way. If we start with the justice system first, we know there is no honesty in how the whole system works, from the beginning, and ending, and the people that are the paper pushers are conspirators in all the things that taking place. The district, and federal government system, it so many things going on that the honest one can see, but they ride along like nothing is wrong. The entertainment system we all know that to pass that help to explain their wrong because it is their number one song. The news media is running neck to neck with the entertainment life. The network system we all know how they started, that got them big ratings, along with big money. Our political officials survive by ignoring what their partners of crime does, with the ace in the hole will help them one day. From the makers, to the labors living honest is just not in one agenda. Living is the only thing in this country one can admit to if they are honest. Walking over things to stay honest does not make one honest because they know the things that gone wrong in the system they work in, which is a conspiracy. So why did they raise the crime high, when ninety percent of dishonesty comes from the professional life, where the highest lost in revenue come from that life. That businesses go out of business from the cutthroat life, that the companies write off all the losses the company make from the stealing life. Look at how much money go overseas illegal that our politicians make, and come back to them legally. Where it is humanly impossible for a person to take office with less than a million dollars to their name, and leave out as a billionaire. How did that happen, without a serious investigation researching the finances from the beginning, until the ending. The investigators have dishonest in them, when they say there's nothing wrong they can find. Why is it so hard to find wrong in crooked politics. Just show how crooked they are. Let a independent group of citizens that's accountants, that do not know each other like a jury trial to do all the research.

    What was that article about? Shopping on Amazon has gotten worse? What was their argument?

    • @DebbiMack
      @DebbiMack Год назад

      Frankly, I haven't the faintest idea. What's getting worse is the situation for authors. We are the overlooked ones here. Indie authors, especially. Without even a union to stand up for us. And, what's worse is that authors want to sign up for Amazon's publishing imprints. At least, I know a few who seemed to welcome the idea during a recent Zoom meeting I attended. And so many authors have little clue about options like crowdfunding, Patreon, Substack, and other ways to survive in this industry. A lot of it depends on what you consider success. Clearly, making the New York Times bestseller list once or twice is simply not enough. Frankly, the "usual advice" about indie publishing needs to be re-examined. There's a whole host of options out there for writers to make money, if they just stopped obsessing over the wrong things. But that requires one to acknowledge that things have changed. It's time to get honest about what Amazon did to create this situation and what we can do to change that.
